Problem
The current iteration of Home Truths did not represent the Athena brand and vision.
It felt static, generic and lacked a human touch that built trust and loyalty with it’s users.
All hardcoded, there was no CMS which was expensive for the business, needing dev time for any changes for any new content being published and struggling to stay current.
Solution
A rich, engaging experience with a content first approach built on contentful.
WorkBased off a visual aesthetic redefined with Ed Studio for athena.com.au, we used this as a the foundations for Home Truths. A new headline font was employed to ground the platform in editorial roots with a newly defined imagery style that speaks to our customers and readers.
Establishing an image style
Our existing image style used for our blog content was aligned to the Athena brand or the content we were publishing. We needed something that really represented Home Truths.
Relatable
For our evergreen content. Imagery that really spoke to our customers and readers.
Human touch
Celebrating the human touch through portrait photography that allows a character to shine with focus on the subject
Tangible product
Showcasing the Athena experience in the hands of real people, ensuing the focus is on the product.
